Hard vs. Soft Water

Hard water is water that is high in mineral content that is formed when water percolates through deposits of limestone and chalk which are primarily made up of calcium and magnesium carbonates. Hard water leaves behind signs in your home. These signs include soap solutions that form scum instead of lather, scaled plumbing, staining on fixtures, yellow or dingy laundry, and even dry, itchy skin from bathing.
